Metiri Group Selected as the Evaluator of Statewide STEM Professional Learning

PRESS RELEASE – MAR 24

Metiri Group, an evaluation and research firm that focuses on STEM, 21st Century skills, and digital learning has been selected as the external evaluator for a statewide professional learning grant that will support Idaho teachers in continuing to address STEM readiness for students in their K-12 classrooms.

Metiri Group has been selected as the evaluator from a statewide STEM professional learning project funded through the U.S. Department of Education Math and Science Partnership grant to the Idaho State Department of Education. In this role Metiri Group will help to document overall satisfaction as well as the impact of the professional development over the course of the five-year project. Using three of Metiri Group’s seasoned evaluation tools that measure impact and continuous improvement, the evaluation team will document and report how Idaho teachers, especially those in high-need districts, are developing their classrooms practice around STEM.

“The I-STEM model has shown some incredible development over the past five years. The team of committed and collaborative individuals have been a pleasure to work with and observe as they have taken this model to scale and grown their outreach by nearly 200% to schools across the state,” said Dr. Jody Britten, Senior Associate at Metiri Group, who has leaded the evaluation team the last five years.
